PERSONAL SECURITY ORIENTATION

The PERSONAL SECURITY ORIENTATION (PSO) was developed to help at-risk members of your organization become more security and defense oriented. We understand that it can be hard to remember all the various rules and policies surrounding security when there is so much else going on. It is not your job, it is ours.

We provide PSO as a course that strives to help regular people to understand the risks of not following procedures and why these procedures actually work. PSO also helps prepare employees that are not used to emergency or security incidents for the stress and physiological effects that might occur. With the world growing more and more dangerous, and security becoming a greater concern and drain on resources, it is important to at least develop a baseline so employees can assist with identifying threats and notify the proper personnel.

During PSO training, we teach employees how to gain a better awareness of their surroundings, how to spot suspicious activity, what defines suspicious activity, how to ensure they are secure while traveling (both locally and abroad), how to notify their leadership of threats, and how security or management should respond to these notifications. Drawing on our staff’s experience of protecting military personnel, warfighting assets, and dealing with hostile incidents, we will show your people what really matters in keeping themselves safe.

NOTE: For any travel security procedures, we will need to know where your employees are traveling. Different regions or areas require different sets of security skills. A list of most frequent destinations including cities, states, or countries will need to be supplied.

PSO is designed as a standalone training event that lasts three hours. If a SECURITY THREAT ASSESSMENT has been accomplished, we can tailor the training even better to your organization’s surroundings, local threats or risks, and your organization’s policies and procedures. PSO can be combined with other courses like WORKPLACE DE-ESCALTION TACTICS or included as an upgrade to ACTIVE SHOOTER INCIDENT RESPONSE. It can also be added as part of a training package with SECURITY STAFF TRAINING.
